The most amazing thing that was ever invented was FOOD!

I can only share food for 2 pax and possibly for families??… Because it’s obviously food I enjoy with my loved ones anywhere we go… “Anywhere” worth the mention that is

Food Paradize

Food Paradize is simply a summed up recommended experience to go-to with your friends, family & loved ones but do note that all of the below is practically !!NON-HALAL!!
(the Yong Tau Foo section might be HALAL at some places......... Not sure 'bout that either...)

STEAMBOAT for Family, Friends & Lovers! Plus-One Shabu Shabu! I love this place… Their winter-melon with chestnut (i think) drink is just at its right sweetness and it costs (RM10) for a plastic jug (like in the picture above on the left)… I love their set lunch but the portion for the meat is cut in half!! So you can save money through their set or pay slightly more for more meat on your plate. Every steamboat set is made for individual though… You can even order 1 set and share! If you’re saving money and a small eater… I recommend the PORK SLICE SET (RM 20++) also I recommend the PORK RIB with CORN soup! Because if you let it cook for awhile, PORK RIB is practically the bones and boiling soup with it in it plus corn actually makes your soup sweeter in the must natural way possible!!

Ps. They even have a wiiidddeee variety of sauces to go for, TAKE IT!

Trip to Zaanse Schans

It is known that Zaanse Schans is the neighbourhood of Zaandam. It is near Zaandijk in the municipality of Zaanstad in the Netherlands of North Holland. Yes, I know... It's not a common name known to the world but NOW you know... It's one of the popular tourist attraction of the region to visit and experience an environment like never before. For those country lovers, this place has a collection of well-preserved historical windmills and not forgetting, houses. Zaanse Schans is also an Anchor Point of The European Route of Industrial Heritage aka "ERIH". How popular, you ask? Approx. 900k visitors every year!

This is a must see for foreigners. Here there are typical dutch houses in green & white with canals & windmills used for oil, mustard & wheat. The flowers are awesome and the street for shopping is breathtaking.


Shoes and wood carvings all hand crafted is amazingly astounding to just go window shopping through here! Would recommend this to those who love hand-crafted arts & craft!

Do drop by during the Spring or Summer season. It's best for viewing flowers and enjoy nature the real way!

In the midst of pre-CNY & CNY itself

My pre CNY celebrations...

When you head to One Utama at Damansara Utama in PJ, Malaysia; You'll definitely notice the Chinese New Year atmosphere and the "Ong" environment surrounding in the mall.

Yes, on top of RM15 the "Black Rose ring". I made purchases of New Year's clothes, accessories, bags and shoes for a total of RM750+. If you include shopping for CNY's goodies for my pet "Ah Bi", the total can go up to RM1k++... It's once in a year and this year, I'm celebrating me being single and loving it to the max! (lolx...rofl)

Btw, I bought the Jelly Lens from Gala Gala Home online and it's amazing the effects only for RM50! I just need more practice! Imagine "me" saving cost of upgrading to a digital camera or a DSLR from being mobile savvy all the time! Yes, yes it's true! I can have "almost" near-to similar effects as I can get when using a DSLR with all those bulky and technical equipments (no offence...I'm just not good with camera gadgets apart from mobile)...

Sounds too fake to be real or vice versa? I doubt it... Whatever signs or omens it might be, life still goes on and we should live it up to the max with no regrets! Cheerxx... (hehe)

Finally, food time! The "Yee Sang" is a tradition for us Chinese and I wonder why every Chinese New Year, you always see after-effect of "Yee Sang" time (bits all over the table)... But I had a great time. This "Yee Sang"was with my colleagues aka our "Sau Gong" Dinner (similar to year end company dinner, to refresh and prepare to start for a New Year following the Chinese Calendar) My family reunion dinner is different this time of the year. We had reunion "lunch" instead and we ate outside! No more cooking this year (pure laziness...mmm). We had dinner at Victoria Station!! YUMMY!

Day 1 : Malacca Trip with Sabrina

Hey guys! It's me Sabrina, your blog editor for Ratianda Travels. I'll be bringing you through to experience a "free & easy"  holiday at Malacca with my family!

Day 1 : 16th December 2009

Left home at 10am. My bro-in-law drove us to Malacca  
(fyi, Malacca is his hometown)... 

Along the way when reaching Malacca, I spotted a few buildings and some exceptionally cool "sky / clouds "

Lunch : Ho G Food Trading (Restaurant)

We had lunch here and it was around 2pm at that time. No, we just arrived Melaka and looking for the first food on our menu! Chicken Rice Ball! Yummy~!  

 

(Sorry I'm not sure which location is this, too hungry to notice!)

After Lunch : Home Sweet Home

After filling up our tummy, we went to settle our bags in Melaka! Yay! Home sweet home~! Almost... We stayed at my bro-in-law's house (holidays and visiting only). We had to clean up around a lil' before we could actually settle in and then clean ourselves up... Because all the hotels were kinda fully booked and some are ridiculously overpriced. So why waste that kinda cash?! Luckily, we have my bro-in-law's own family home (hometown) to save the day! Thank You Raymond & family ^^ !
(Ps. I read Twilight -again!- the rest of the day before dinner)

Dinner Time : At Jalan Bunga Raya

We came here looking for fried "seafood" such as lala/balitong/oyster... We found out that the only seafood available here is "oyster"... Sad.... But we tried out the "Wan Tan Mee" next door while enjoying a packet of Fried Oyster... Y.U.M.M.Y!! I could hardly find "the" oyster but it definitely taste great! Even the Wan Tan Mee tastes great too! It's flavor is original and you don't taste much "Ajinomoto/Seasoning" like what we normally taste here and there in KL. To be honest, this "Wan Tan Mee" actually looks like the Sarawak Mee but it's not! Cool huh!

Night Time : Window Shopping along Jalan Bunga Raya
Yes, it is part of the plan, besides, there's like 3 or 4 shops around the corner that sells X'mas deco and it's very attracting and colorful! See for yourself!
